Dear Friends,
We are currently following the SUMMER MASS SCHEDULE! There is NO 5:00PM Sunday Life Teen Mass until after Labor Day weekend!!
The 1PM Sunday Mass will be a Solemn High Mass in Latin on 2 June for Corpus Christi with a Eucharistic Procession following.
This Sunday is the First Sunday of the Month. I will give a special blessing to all those who are celebrating their birthdays in the month of June. Please stand when invited to do so to receive this blessing at the end of Mass.
We continue to encourage our parish children to use their envelopes during the summer at Mass. If you have forgotten an envelope or need more, they are available in the Narthex on the Offertory Table.
This week is a First Saturday on 1 June. I will hear Confessions from 10:00AM until 11:30AM followed by Mass ad orientem at 12Noon; First Friday is next week on 7 June. Fr. Morey will hear Confessions and celebrate Mass on 7 June.
Our Parish Feast Day was a tremendous success with over 50 people in attendance! Many thanks to all who participated and especially to those who prepared the delicious brunch following the Mass.
Father's Day Remembrance: As you enter for Mass this weekend, a Remembrance Card can be found on the Offertory Table in the Narthex should you care to write on it to remember your family members, loved ones, friends, both living and deceased, who are FATHERS. Their names will be placed on the altar Father’s Day Weekend, 15-16 June 2024 to be remembered during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. No donation is required.
Don't forget to return the BirthRight Baby Bottle Campaign bottles by 15-16 June. Please return the bottles filled with coins, cash or checks MADE OUT TO OUR LADY OF THE LAKE no later than FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND!

2024 Catholic Appeal of South Carolina (CASC) Update: As of 21 May 308 families have made one time gifts and pledges totaling $99,814. This represents 171% of our goal of $58,503. An additional $18,711 has been pledged but it is not included in our total until the monies are received. If all of the current pledges are paid in full we will reach 202% of our goal!!! Bishop Fabre-Jeune has challenged all parishes in the diocese to exceed 25% participation. Can we reach 28% of families participating in the CASC at OLL? We did! Currently, Our Lady of the Lake is at 29 percent participation! Our Lady of the Lake is leading the diocese for parishes of approximately 1000 families in support of the Gospel in SC!!! So, can we reach 32% participation? Wouldn't that be AWESOME! Won't you please join our efforts and make a pledge or one time gift today?
Some brief, but important news and reminders:
There is 8:00AM and 10:30AM Hospitality this week. The 8:00AM Bakers of Fellowship and the Senior Luncheon Ministry are hosting, respectively.
Thank you for the prayers for my mother, Jean. Your prayers are working! Currently, she will not be having surgery on her broken leg. She is now in a rehab facility with a leg/ankle boot and will hopefully heal fully and be allowed to return to her home. Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated!
Pray for peace in the world and for protection from storms and other natural disasters.
Peace and all good,
Fr. Dennis
Please welcome our Summer Seminarian

CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
A vertical lift is being installed in the Family Life Center! This will allow for access to the second floor of the FLC for those who cannot climb stairs. This is a vital improvement to the FLC. Many thanks to our crew from the Men's Club that is working to build the shaft for the vertical lift. Currently we are waiting for the electrical contractors to work on their portion of this project!
Future plans for the fountain in front of the church are to extend the plaza in front of the church with pavers so as to include the area around the fountain. A final design is close to approval. We will raise funds to complete this project by selling pavers to be inscribed with family names, in honor of, or in memorial. We are currently working on pricing for the pavers.
