Dear Friends,
This Sunday is the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Our Summer Mass Schedule has ended! The Sunday 5:00PM Life Teen Mass is back until mid-May.
Fr. Morey will celebrate a special Mass in the Traditional Latin on Friday, 29 September for the Feast Day of the Dedication of the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel at 6:30PM. The Angelus and Rosary will be prayed at 6:00PM.
I will offer a Birthday Blessing at the end of Mass this weekend for all celebrating a birthday during the month of October. Please stand when invited to do so to receive this blessing.
We will have the Children's Mass at 10:30AM this Sunday. Please encourage your Faith Formation age children to join me in front of the Altar for the Children's Homily and the "I Love You Jesus" song. By the way, have you thought of singing this simple song with your children at home?
This Sunday is Respect Life Sunday. The Life Chain will be prayed in front of the church from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. Please join in this witness to Life. As part of Respect Life Month, the Birthright Baby Shower is taking place during the month of October. There will be a bassinet in the Narthex for donations.
40 Days for Life started 27 September and goes through 5 November. Deacon Greg and Maureen Weigold are the campaign leaders and need your help. Please promote 40 Days on your social media platforms and in other ministries in which you participate. Consider signing up individually or go together as a group (a Bible Study group, Men's & Women's Clubs, KofC, WinGs, etc). They would be happy to meet with you for an orientation and provide 40 Days for Life signs. Let's have the best turnout ever and make abortion unthinkable! For more information about the campaign and to sign up: www.40daysforlife.com/columbiasc.

Please be generous with either new or lightly used coats! Thank you!!!
Now that we are back in full swing from summer breaks and vacations I want to remind everyone of the many giving opportunities we have at OLL. All of our programs, staff and facilities are dependent upon your generous support! Here are a few ways to give to the parish:
In basket donations: Our Offertory Basket is on the Offertory Table in the Narthex.
Online donations: The simplest, most consistent and best way to support our parish. DONATE
As you can see there are many ways to give. I especially invite our new parishioners who may not have given to the Bicentennial Campaign and the Catholic Appeal of South Carolina to consider making a pledge or one time gift this fall. Many thanks to all who support and continue to support our programs, staff and facilities through your generous gifts!!!
Pray for peace in the world and for protection from storms and other natural disasters.
